Grace starts daycare tomorrow. We’ve known this for quite some time, but the reality is just beginning to set in. Her cute outfit for tomorrow is all set out, and half of our kitchen table seems to be taken over with the pile of stuff (all labeled with purple tape and Grace’s name) that must accompany her on the trip to daycare tomorrow. Grace seems to be fine; Mama keeps finding one more thing that she should tuck in (a favorite toy, a favorite CD, a snuggly ‘lovey’, 2 pacifiers, 3 changes of clothes, 4 bibs, 3 blankets of varying weight for her nap, extra gDiapers, 5 bumGenius diapers, her coat, a wetbag for dirty diapers, rice cereal, and the list goes on). We plan to leave tomorrow morning no later than 7:15, and all the bottles are filled for tomorrow, just waiting in the fridge for the night.
Please send good thoughts to our girl tomorrow (and her Mama, who is more likely the one in need…) as she sets out into the world! So that I have a picture to pull up tomorrow when I’m wondering what she’s up to, here’s a shot from this morning’s tummy time…

Tummy time
Speaking of tummy time, we took a short video of her tummy time yesterday so that everyone could see that once she starts crawling, we are going to be in *some* trouble! For whatever reason, this video doesn’t seem to want to embed either. Here it is on google videos.
I woke up thinking about you guys this morning, wishing I could be there with Grace for another week to delay the Dreaded Daycare Day. But then I thought – what a great adventure for Grace! the teachers in her room are going to be just as enchanted with her as the rest of us, and she will have a blast having so much activity to watch and new people to charm. Not to mention how much she will like getting to look at somebody just her size. I’m feeling like it’s all going to be just fine, for Grace anyway…and her mommy and daddy will survive it just like all mommies and daddies do. The biggest hitch I see is getting everybody and everything out the door in the mornings….! I miss you guys and I love you guys, and remember, the slightest snuffle on Grace’s part will get me there asap!
